during the equestrian shows, horse-parade and other performance
representing the important cultural and social dimension of the Arab
thoroughbred horse which was dressed in at the Islamic period of the
invested Maghreb a mainly important religious consecration.
The Hawking Festival
(Haw hunting) in El Haouaria (June)

Located at the
very end of the Cap Bon peak top, El Hawaria is the main hunting area of
the hawk (sparrowhawk). It concerns a thousand-year-old tradition which
dates back to the Carthaginian period, when Ghar-El-Kebir quarries at 2
kms from El Haouaria were used, so as to extract the stones of Carthage
during the Punic period.

Tabarka Jazz Festival

If Tabarka was known for the coral fishing, for the rocky
needles eroded by the sea, thanks to its Roman remains as well as its
Genoese fort, today famous all over the world for its Tabarka Jazz
Festival, which in its turn enriches the various tourist products in the
region : green tourism, sport and salutary tourism (trekkingt, horse
riding, bathing, under-sea fishing) and cultural tourism.
El Jem International Festival

Tozeur Oases Festival

wedding ceremonies, and «fantasia». It is also expected to attend the
dates crop in the oases.

Douz Sahara de Festival (December)
This festival has taken place every year since 1967. It
invites you to discover the happiness of the village dwellers welcoming
through ancestral dance shows, camels fights, traditional weddings with
customs and berber adornments, hunting with the greyhound and the pure
race «Slugui» raised by the desert tribes.
