Formalities A passeport available for a stay of less than
three months. No vaccination is needed.

Tunis" Tunisair has scheduled direct flight to Tunis from London
three times a week: on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
What must be put in your suitcase? Sun-glass, especially if you
go to the desert, light clothes in cotton in the spring and summer; in
autumn, you had rather bring woolen pullovers for the night. In winter:
warn clothes and a raincoat.
What can you buy? carpets, handicrafts, exotics perfume,
leather, cooper, materials, golden and silver embroidered clothes,
ceramics, pottery articles and silver and coral jewels.
Currency: The Nationnal currency is the Tunisian Dinar wich is
about 0,80 US$ worth. Foreign currencies are accepted. Change is
possible in the banks, in the airports and in some hostel.
What to eat? Couscous which becomes famous throughout
the world, is the typical course, which is wheat semolia-based and may
be dressed with meat, chicken or fish and all vegetables; the Brik is
a fine circular pastry stuffed with an egg, parsley and thuna or
cooked with meat; tajines bring a great variety of omelettes, salted
tarts or egg - and meat - stuffed flaky pastry. The tunisian
specialities are also roast mutton, the various fish dressings,
walnuts, dates and almond-based succulent desserts; together with
